We can invited the models from the models meetup group to pose for us. We can use shadow art photography, or trash the dress. Then we can give them the best photos for their portfolio. We can practice with light, black and white, creativity, etc....

Im suggesting Boomer's Bar. They have a back room with a stage and a black backdrop. We use it for a class im in now and it would make a good place to set up a model maybe. Thats all ive got.

Oh, and Sirius is east off Valley View between Desert Inn and Sahara

I think this is a great idea! And I've suggested Thursday night because that would work for me. 7:00 allows us to have something to eat before we shoot.

I can bring a 42" reflector and stand, and a small soft-box and stand.

This is obviously a "grass roots" effort being assembled on-the-fly. Danub suggested Boomer's but I don't know if he talked to them about our coming. Doug said he could probably bring models but hasn't confirmed anything. Several people have confirmed their interest in gathering tonight, so I'm going to suggest we gather and see what happens. If nothing else, we'll meet some new people and hopefully be better prepared to plan the next event.

There were four of us that met and had a very good time. Although Mikki showed up as a photographer, she also came prepared to model and did a great job.

I had a wonderful time meeting others. I planned on doing some photography and ended up being the model. It was a great learning experience and the photographers did a fantastic job!
