Groups can schedule a time to go into the Neon Graveyard (where all the signs from Vegas-past are.) I think it'd be neat to schedule a visit there. What do you think?
I recently tried to schedule time in the Neon Graveyard. I was told that they are presently not open and that a staff member can walk you around. The location fee is $150/hr for portfolio work, and $250/hr for fine art work. I wonder if they'll let us split the cost as a group?
They are open again for tours...but we can't bring tripods or anything on a tour. We would have to schedule some type of shoot. If we can split the cost I would be in.
The photography adventure group did this a few months ago. We all had to pay $100 for it and they did not let us go into the main section of the graveyard...I hope they let us go in this time around. Be nice to see what they do this time around...::crosses fingers:::
I was on the same event at Eric - and would not go again unless we could go into the main section - and would not pay $100 again!!
I changed the date and time to Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 3:00 PM
I changed the location to Neon Museum
I have done modelling and events there, but they are a bit different now. Let me call them and see if we could get a group discount since we are non-profit as well for education. My daughter has a shoot there this Saturday, so I will find out and repost on here
Do you know the cost for us yet? I am not going to pay $100 again!
I have called and never received call or email back. I will try again today as I am not paying $100 either.
OK...so talked to them and we will have to reschedule about 2 weeks from now. They are full. I sent the info and she will get back to me about cost and openings. We will be on a private tour so that we are not changed the shoot fee; however, no tripods or extra equipment may be brought in for the tour price. Just cameras, etc. But we will the the ability to take time for photos being a private tour. I will post on here and email the organizer of this group the updated date in June.
I never saw the cost. Is it $100? I would like to go, but I wont be paying that amount...
Wish I could be with you folks. I work grave yard and 3:00pm is sleepy time for me. Enjoy your tour through the Neon Museum; and I look forward to your posts. Been there before and their costs were much too high. BTW; I did get to use a tri-pod, with some restrictions. Opportunity to photograph history; good. Being used for the price; not good. They may not be in business for long.
Hi Nikki, when you know the date and time and cost, can you update the meetup? :) I assume you will...but I just logged on and panicked 'cause the time says 3pm today :)
I like this idea a lot :)
